Fishing Report

Picture perfect day! No weekend crowds, great surf conditions. Fluking in IBSP is steady and the inlets both north and south of us are also producing some nice fish. Buck tail gulp combos or live kellie squid combos are the best way to catch these tasty critters… John Yac

Fishing Report

We might have dodged a bullet this morning as far as the rain is concerned but later on in the day we’re not going to be so lucky. Fluke fishing in IBSP continues to be steady with anglers not only taking advantage of the 2 fish at 16″ but coming up with some 4 plus lb. fish in the mix. Some blues here and there with word of a few snappers also showing up. Crabbing is coming into it’s own with nice catches off our dock and rental boats… John Yac

Fishing Report

Possible rain gear day later. On the brighter side, less bathers where they don’t belong and the fair weather fisherman won’t leave their couches. There are some nice fluke being taken in IBSP with the inlet still producing small blues on certain tides. Crabbing yesterday was in high gear out back off our dock and on our rental boats. Buck tail gulp combos lead the baits on the fluke side while cut bunker will attract the blues. It doesn’t hurt to also have a clam baited rod, you never know when that elusive striped bass may pass by… John Yac

Fishing Report

Crabs have invaded our dock this morning! Large catches of keeper size plus crabs found their way into the pots that were being fished from the dock this morning. This may be the start of the summer time crab blitz’s we have been experiencing for the past couple of years both from the dock and our rental boats. So if crabbing is your thing and you enjoy eating these tasty critters now is the time to come on down!… John Yac

Fishing Report

Sorry for the late report, but last night’s storm played havoc on our server. But today is a new day and a picture perfect one at that. With a afternoon high tide and NNW winds fishing the beach should be a enjoyable experience. Fluke are increasing in numbers daily and blues are still in and out. Crabbing off our dock is becoming steady and our rental boats are doing well also. No blitz by any means but our crabbers are walking away satisfied… John Yac

Fishing Report

Nice start to the day but a possible storm later according to most forecasts. The fluke bit has improved both in the inlets and along the beaches with some nice keepers coming up in IBSP. Buck tail Gulp combos seems to be the bait of choice while kellie squid combos are running a close second. Still some blues around falling to cut baits, poppers and metals. Crabbing out back is not bad with decent catches going to those willing to put in some time… John Yac

Fishing Report

Picture perfect day for crabbing or fishing or maybe a little of both! Fluke fishing is starting to heat up somewhat with the blues remain in the mix in most locations. With the weekend anglers gone picking a good spot becomes less of a challenge. So grab your gear, pick up some bait and hit the beach… John Yac

P.S. >>>> Remember our WEIGH-INS WANTED program, where each month the heaviest fish taken from the BEACH ONLY and weighed in at our shop will win a $50.00 store gift card!

Special Report!

HAPPY FATHER’S DAY! Welcome to the start of summer although it sure doesn’t feel that way. The best gift you can give you dad is to take him fishing, and if he’s no longer with you, pause to reflect on all those wonderful times you spent together and say thanks! Remember more than likely he was the one who got you started on the road to this wonderful life long hobby and in some cases (obsession) we call fishing… John Yac

Fishing Report

Not such a great forecast for Dad’s day! But on the brighter side any day Dad can go fishing is a good day. Most fisherman don’t mind the possibility of a rain gear trip especially when they are catching fish. Blues will be keeping them busy both out front along the beaches and back in the bay. Fluke fishing in the inlets and along the beach is increasing but the keeper to short ratio is not so great. Cut baits for the blues along with poppers and metals should be your baits of choice. Buck tails tipped with gulp or natural bait strips or just fished plain would be my number one choice, while the old kellie/squid combo has accounted for many fine catches… John Yac

Fishing Report

This has to be the spring of the blue fish by far! Blues are keeping anglers busy just about anywhere you look. Case in point right out back on our dock last night blues to 7 plus lbs. were taking cut baits. The surf is giving up blues to 10 lbs. with the majority of fish taking cut baits. Fluke are in the inlets and along the beaches, gulp tipped buck tails and kellie squid combos are the way to go. Crabbing is ok but no blitz yet … John Yac
